Health Scholars Program

The Health Scholars Program provides outstanding Princeton students with funding for travel and research to pursue health-related internships and senior thesis research, both in the U.S. and abroad.

This competitive program, administered by the Center for Health and Wellbeing, is open to students from all departments.

Program Description

Up to six juniors are selected each year for the scholars program through a rigorous application and selection process focusing on both academic performance and plans for work and research on health issues. The Scholars are supported by the program through their junior and senior years. Scholars are provided with financial support to engage in health-related internships or independent research on health and health policy in the summer before the senior year, and are expected to write senior theses on health-related topics.

The Health Scholars receive special guidance and support from Princeton faculty and researchers, attend periodic dinner sessions, and interact with and learn from global health-minded students from other disciplines.  They can be offered special support for attending or presenting at global health conferences, and may have special opportunities to interact with distinguished campus visitors.
